I just listened to an amazing podcast with Seth Godin and he made so many incredible points, but one that stood out to me was this one…
“If you focus on getting your pre-pandemic life back, you’re wasting your time. There’s a past you had, and a future you will have and you need to focus on where you’re going to be.” (I paraphrased a bit ????)
His words are so important. Don’t spend time worrying or lamenting about how you can get back the old practice life you used to have. Instead, focus on the steps, people, systems and goals for the ever changing future we all share.
Ask yourself a few questions like:
*What technology can transform my patient experience?
*What product or service will my new practice need to offer? (Lingual, Invisalign, at-home aligners, etc)
*What team members do I need to provide the things I need to provide?
*How will my clinic physically need to change to make me more efficient?
*How should the personnel needs change to meet my future needs?
We tend to follow the herd when it comes to changes to our practices but if you spend a little time with forward thinkers like Seth Godin, you’ll appreciate the value of “outside the box’ thinking.
I hope this helps you start thinking about how to create your amazing future.
Wishing you the best,
